HS Hyosung Information System, an AI and data infrastructure and technology consulting company, said on March 16 it signed a memorandum of understanding with EDB, a sovereign AI and data company, for "enterprise data technology cooperation".
The agreement centres on linking EDB Korea’s software technology capabilities related to enterprise databases and data processing and analytics workloads with HS Hyosung Information System’s consulting capabilities in designing and building AI and data infrastructure.
The two companies aim to expand business opportunities in South Korea’s market for building data-based systems and secure joint competitiveness.
They also agreed to foster a "healthy EDB ecosystem" that grows together with EDB’s various partners through this cooperation.
Yang Jung-gyu (양정규), chief executive of HS Hyosung Information System, said he expects strong synergy from combining EDB’s global standard technical capabilities with the company’s infrastructure consulting strengths. He said the company will go beyond simply supplying products and actively support customers’ business innovation as a key technology partner that ensures stable data platform construction and an efficient data operations environment.
