Shinhan Bank said on Wednesday it won the top prize in the financial consumer protection category for a second consecutive year at the 2026 Korea Fund Awards ceremony held at KG Harmony Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul, on Feb. 12.
The Korea Fund Awards are an annual event in which fund evaluator KG Zeroin selects outstanding financial companies after a comprehensive assessment of fund distributors such as banks and securities firms. The top prize for financial consumer protection is awarded by the Korea Financial Consumer Protection Foundation to financial companies that comply with laws and regulations related to fund sales procedures.
Shinhan Bank received the top prize in the financial consumer protection category after ranking first overall in evaluations of offline branch and online website and mobile sales procedures conducted by the foundation. It also won in the same category this year following last year.
A Shinhan Bank official said the award objectively recognised that a culture of fully selling funds has been stably established across its branches. The official said the bank will further strengthen its protection system so customers can fully understand the entire product sales process and make investment decisions.
