KakaoGames is accelerating preparations for the launch of the medieval zombie survival game 'God Save Birmingham' by releasing its test schedule.

On Feb. 13, KakaoGames released new gameplay footage for the PC online game 'God Save Birmingham', being developed by its subsidiary Ocean Drive Studio, and announced the schedule for a closed alpha test.

'God Save Birmingham' is an open-world zombie survival simulator set in Birmingham, England in the 14th century. Players must secure essentials such as food and water and set up a shelter in a medieval city overrun by zombies.

The newly released video shows more refined survival mechanics. It adds a guide system that intuitively displays character status, expanded weapons including a large scythe, equipment durability, weapon sharpness and a hygiene system. Combat has also been improved with better aiming accuracy.

KakaoGames will run a closed alpha test for global players starting on Feb. 20. The first test will run from Feb. 20 to 24 for participants in the previous pre-alpha test. A second test will follow from Feb. 27 to March 3 for new participants recruited via the Steam store page.

The company plans to review core gameplay elements through this test and raise completion by reflecting user feedback.
