Tmap Mobility has begun turning users' travel experiences into content. Tmap Mobility said on Wednesday it will run a user-participation event called 'My Theme Course.'
The company said it planned the event to move beyond information-focused recommendations and allow users to naturally express their tastes and memories. Users can turn personal travel experiences and stories, such as family trips or date courses, into a single route and share them.
Selected routes will be introduced through the app as 'Tmap Theme Course' content. Tmap Theme Course is a series that introduces places to visit by season and theme.
The event runs through Feb. 27. Any Tmap member can take part. Users can create a 'saved group' in the Saved tab, save locations for the route and then submit a story and photos on the event page to complete an entry. Participants can choose a theme and introduce a special journey to other users through a route name and photos.
Shin Jang-yong (신장용), leader of Brand Innovation & Growth at Tmap Mobility, said, "We plan to expand content that naturally reflects users' actual movement experiences, using this 'My Theme Course' event as an opportunity." He said, "When personal experiences are added to accumulated mobility data, we can provide richer and more reliable content, so we will continue to strengthen services with high usability across mobility overall."
