ISTE said on Thursday it signed a 2.3 billion won supply contract with SK Hynix for HBM-dedicated FOUP Cleaner equipment. Under the contract, ISTE will supply the equipment to SK Hynix by April 7, 2026.
The company supplied 2.83 billion won of FOUP cleaning equipment to SK Hynix in November last year. At the time, it said the order was an initial batch of a new investment to strengthen HBM competitiveness. It projected additional orders for HBM-related equipment in the future.
In the same month, ISTE won an order worth 1.57 billion won from Amkor Technology Korea for FOUP complex equipment. It also won an order for the equipment from Samsung Electronics and plans to deliver it through March and April this year.
ISTE developed equipment in 2013 to separately clean the body and cover. The company said it began supplying FOUP Cleaner equipment to SK Hynix in 2016 and expanded the scope of cooperation to automation equipment, valve repair and equipment parts. It was selected as an SK Hynix technological innovation company in 2023.
Chief Executive Cho Chang-hyun said, "SK Hynix is continuing investment across the front-end and back-end processes in the HBM sector," adding, "Our FOUP Cleaner equipment is being supplied as equipment that supports the operation of HBM production lines."
He also said, "We succeeded in localising PECVD equipment for the SiCN process with SK Hynix and completed sales of the equipment, adding front-end process equipment as a new product line," adding, "We plan to build a foundation for growth by strengthening a repeat-order structure centered on key customers."
