[DigitalToday reporter Lee Ho-jung (이호정)] Netmarble will present its new open-world action RPG, "Seven Deadly Sins: Origin," in March.
On Feb. 12, Netmarble said it will release "Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" early on PlayStation 5 and Steam on March 17, and grand launch it across all platforms, including a mobile version, on March 24.
Netmarble decided on a phased rollout in consideration of platform characteristics. It plans to provide the open world’s expansive graphics in an optimized environment through detailed tuning tailored to each device.
It also overhauled overall systems by reflecting user feedback received during a previous closed beta test, including improvements to controls, adjustments to combat tempo, and UI and UX optimization.
"Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" is an open-world RPG based on the popular manga "Seven Deadly Sins," which has recorded cumulative global sales of more than 55 million copies.
To mark the announcement of the launch schedule, Netmarble will run an event on its official X channel through Feb. 17. It will give prizes such as Naver Pay points to selected users who follow the official channel and share related news.
Pre-registration is under way on the official website, Google Play and Apple App Store, and participants will receive benefits to help early progression.
