Woori Financial Group said on Feb. 12 that social contribution staff from 17 group affiliates visited the 'Warm Filling Station' near Seoul Station and carried out volunteering to support vulnerable people such as the homeless and elderly people living alone ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.

The Warm Filling Station supports homeless people and other vulnerable residents living around Seoul Station by helping them avoid the bitter cold and have stable meals.

Woori Financial employees on the day served free rice and side dishes to about 250 visitors, including homeless people. After serving, they also helped with on-site work such as tidying and cleaning the kitchen and dining area. They also delivered food kits including rice and kimchi.

Hong Min-woo (홍민우), a deputy head of the Brand Strategy Department, said, "We joined the volunteering to support vulnerable people in the community with warm meals and food supplies in the final stretch of cold weather." He added, "We will continue social contribution activities that deliver warmth to our neighbors in the community and to customers."
