Cisco posted quarterly revenue of $15.4 billion and net income of $3.18 billion, beating market expectations, but its outlook disappointed and its shares fell 7 percent, CNBC reported on Feb. 11.

Cisco's networking segment revenue rose 21 percent from a year earlier to $8.3 billion in the quarter, and orders related to AI infrastructure also increased to $2.1 billion.

Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins (척 로빈스) highlighted participation in an AI infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia and the launch of networking switches equipped with Nvidia chips, underscoring plans to expand its AI business.

Demand for AI infrastructure is rising sharply, but supply chain problems driven by higher memory prices and pressure to raise prices are also intensifying. On this, Robbins said, "Customers may try to buy in advance, but it will not have a big impact on the networking business."

Cisco expects 2026 fiscal-year revenue of $61.2 billion to $61.7 billion, up 8.5 percent from a year earlier.
