AI-based security operations and analytics platform company Igloo Corporation said on Feb. 12 it has additionally obtained certification for the Unified Requirement on cyber resilience of onboard systems and equipment (UR E27) from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), following certifications from Bureau Veritas (BV) and the Korean Register (KR).
Igloo Corporation said it not only holds UR E27 certifications from major global classification societies, but also had its penetration test support capabilities verified through a joint development project to comply with the Unified Requirement on cyber resilience of ships (UR E26).
Igloo Corporation said it obtained the certificate by conducting penetration tests required under UR E26 at an HLS vessel site under the supervision of Bureau Veritas.
Igloo Corporation said it is accelerating the expansion of its maritime security business based on on-site demonstration experience and a verified solution. It said it implemented its ship-specific security solution, SPiDER OT for Maritime, on 3 HLS vessels: the HLS Bilbao, the Puteri Mayang and the Hyundai Princepia. The company said it secured the country’s first verified case of ship security demonstration in compliance with UR E27.
SPiDER OT for Maritime is a security information and event management (SIEM) solution for ships. It integrates onboard operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) assets to provide comprehensive security functions from asset identification to threat detection and response.

Based on proven technology and know-how, we will strengthen our position as a leading CPS security company spanning various industries including ships, manufacturing and energy."
