StageFive said on Feb. 11 it will establish a joint venture, TheMiles, with Milk Partners and roll out a differentiated budget mobile service in earnest.
TheMiles is a joint venture established by KeyInside, the parent company of Milk Partners, and StageFive, a budget phone company that operates the Findairect budget phone brand. It supports various brands so they can directly operate and offer brand-dedicated mobile services optimized for their customers without building complex infrastructure.
TheMiles will officially launch a Milk-only plan as its first service within the first quarter of this year. The plan is structured to return savings as tangible rewards in proportion to how much data users conserve. It is expected to become a new option for users who value rational spending by linking cost-saving behavior during data use to rewards.
A key feature of the Milk-only plan is refunding remaining mobile data in Milk coin. Users can convert it via the Milk app into NOL coin, OK Cashbag or Lotte L.Point for immediate everyday use, or send it to a digital asset exchange to convert it into cash.
