Hecto Data said on Feb. 12 it has launched an "AI sample code" service that uses its own AI technology to connect Hecto Data APIs (application programming interfaces) with customer services and apps.

The "AI sample code" service, developed with H.AI, Hecto Group's AI technology unit, uses AI to automatically generate real-time code that developers can refer to when linking various APIs and customer services, including asset management, healthcare and financial transactions.

When a customer selects the Hecto Data API product it wants to integrate, the service automatically applies key information needed to pull data, including required input values. It also generates and provides executable sample code. This allows developers to reduce the time needed to connect APIs and services.

Customers can use the "AI sample code" service to reduce cumbersome inquiry procedures that arise during data integration and lower technical dependence on API providers, making it easier to link APIs. Previously, when errors occurred, developers had to check guidance documents one by one or rely on the provider's technical advice, which led to delays in development schedules.

Hecto Data plans to use the "AI sample code" service as a starting point to improve customer convenience with AI. It also plans to boost internal operational efficiency by establishing standardised support for each API product.

A Hecto Data official said, "We expect that applying our own AI technology through the 'AI sample code' service will improve the customer experience and strengthen the competitiveness of our API services." The official added, "We plan to expand the scope of service provision across our API products and further advance our API development guide."
