KB Kookmin Bank said on March 13 it signed a business agreement on March 12 with Ops Networks, an operator of an ERP for customs brokers, to promote use of customs ERP services.
The signing ceremony took place at KB Kookmin Bank's new building in Yeouido, Seoul. Attendees included Moon Myung-su (문명수), CEO of Ops Networks, and Kim Hyun-wook (김현욱), executive vice president of KB Kookmin Bank's corporate customer group, as well as officials from both companies.
KB Kookmin Bank has supported a service since 2019 that links to Ops Networks' customs office clearance and logistics fund management system, the Customs ERP CL-FMS. The service allows users to conduct financial tasks such as inquiries and transfers within the system without separately logging into internet banking.
Under the agreement, the companies plan to pursue API development and the launch of customer services, jointly plan advertising and marketing, and cooperate on a platform to provide data-linked financial services.
They also plan to collaborate, through linking their systems, on upgrading export-import settlement processes and launching non-face-to-face financial products tailored to customs brokers.
A KB Kookmin Bank official said the agreement was expected to improve customer convenience in export-import tasks. The official said the bank would expand differentiated foreign exchange services to support sustainable growth of companies, based on the two companies' expertise.
