KT's telecommunications product distribution affiliate KT M&S said on Thursday it has been selected as a supplier for the "2026 Artificial Intelligence (AI) Voucher Support Programme" and will support AI transformation for small and medium-sized companies and small merchants through its self-developed AI platform, "NEXUS".

The AI voucher programme, overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), is a system under which the government supports the cost burden that small and medium-sized companies and small merchants incur when adopting AI solutions. Selected demand firms can use vouchers worth up to 200 million won to build AI training, consulting and AI platforms tailored to their business models.

KT M&S is taking part in the AI voucher programme with its self-developed AI platform, NEXUS. NEXUS is an integrated work AI platform built solely with internal capabilities without external developers. It provides three functions on one platform: document-based AI Q&A (RAG chatbot), data analytics AI (automatic SQL generation) and AI ArtLab (generative image creation).

KT M&S upgraded NEXUS as about 2,000 employees used it directly across day-to-day work, from sales and consultation support to store profit-and-loss analysis and internal policy guidance. The company said it can be adopted without building large-scale infrastructure, making it easy and quick to use even for smaller firms that lack dedicated IT staff.

Choi Eun-yeol (최은열), head of the AI diffusion team at KT M&S, said, "NEXUS was developed with internal capabilities and has a structure that enables in-house maintenance and operation," adding, "Through the government’s AI voucher support programme, we can supply sustainable AI solutions to demand firms at a reasonable cost."
