Substack is strengthening support for creators by launching “Substack Recording Studio” for producing video content, TechCrunch reported on March 12.
Substack Recording Studio runs on desktop and allows video recording with up to 2 guests. Creators can use features such as adding custom watermarks and screen sharing. After recording ends, clips and thumbnails are generated automatically.
Substack explained in a blog post, “Previously, making video required combining multiple tools, but now we provide all functions in a single studio.” Creators who used audio or video features in the past 90 days had 50% higher revenue growth than those who did not, the company said.
Substack started as a newsletter platform, but in recent years it has focused on video content and supported creators in exploring various media formats.
It has supported video uploads since 2022 and last year added live streaming and video monetisation features.
