Lotte GRS said on Feb. 11 it opened Lotteria’s first outlet in Singapore at Jewel Changi Airport on Feb. 10. Singapore is Lotteria’s seventh overseas market.

Lotteria’s first Singapore outlet was designed as a roughly 158.7 square metre, 60-seat store on the B1 level of Jewel Changi Airport, a complex shopping mall. The company said it has opened first outlets in Southeast Asian markets in downtown areas of the capitals, but in Singapore it reviewed the location to match the specific characteristics of the site and commercial district.

The Singapore outlet’s menu consists of the same burger lineup as in South Korea, including signature items such as the Ria Bulgogi and Ria Shrimp. It also includes Korean-style reinterpretations such as the kimchi bulgogi burger, and the mozzarella burger, a popular item last year.

Ahead of the official opening, Lee Won-taek (이원택), CEO of Lotte GRS, attended on Feb. 10 along with Alan Goh, chairman of partner company Katrina Group, and Kim Jun-gyeom, counsellor at the South Korean embassy.

"The first Singapore outlet will be a symbol of the two groups, Lotte GRS and Katrina, developing beyond South Korea and Singapore into the global food service industry," Lee said.
