Rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology and the spread of digital platforms are shaking the concept of the “office worker” from the ground up. Solopreneurs, who start businesses alone without large organisations and generate company-level sales, are emerging as new business players.

Solopreneur is a portmanteau of “solo” and “entrepreneur,” referring to a one-person business owner who works alone regardless of location and generates substantial income. In this context, IT education institute DevMentor said it will hold “Solopreneur Conference 2026: Practical Success Strategies for One-Person Entrepreneurs” on Jan. 21 at the Korea Advertising Culture Hall in Jamsil, Seoul.

At the conference, six solopreneurs with proven results will speak and share in detail the full range of one-person business operations, including development, sales, marketing and building automation systems. In the morning, Lee Seung-hoon, a professor at Gachon University, will present a systematic model design method, and Kim Ga-yoon, known as Chatyoon, will share practical sales strategies that generate annual sales of more than 1 billion won.

The afternoon sessions will feature more specific success stories. Josh, also known as Kim Seung-kwon, who is achieving monthly sales of 50 million won, will introduce “a methodology for making systems work automatically” and address scalability issues for one-person businesses. Next, K-League Programmer, also known as Kim Jae-ho, a developer who has operated “Coffee One Cup” for eight years, will share tips for generating income as a solo developer, and CEO Lizzy Park, also known as Park Ja-ryeong, will teach short-form monetisation strategies based on 93,000 followers. Know-how on using vibe coding from CEO Cursor Matpia, also known as Choi Su-min, and brand-building experience from CEO Hunt, also known as Park Hyun-tae, are also set to be shared.

A DevMentor official stressed that the event is a rare opportunity to learn concrete strategies that can be used immediately on site from people who have actually achieved monthly sales of 50 million won or more.
