Coding platform Replit raised $400 million in a Series D funding round, lifting its valuation to $9 billion, TechCrunch reported on March 11 local time.
The investment was led by existing investor Georgian Partners, with participation from G Squared, Prism Capital, Kotu, Andreessen Horowitz, Craft Ventures, Y Combinator, Accenture Ventures, Okta Ventures and Databricks Ventures. Well-known figures such as Shaquille O'Neal and Jared Leto also joined as angel investors.
Replit tripled its valuation in six months after it was valued at $3 billion in September last year.
Replit is growing as it shifts its strategy from focusing on developers to making coding easier for non-developers, TechCrunch said.
