SK Broadband said on Monday it will hold a giveaway event through its customer participation curation service, 'Taste Is Money'.

Taste Is Money is a curation-based rewards service first attempted in the IPTV industry. Customers create their own movie or programme playlists, and when others watch them the service automatically credits B-cash to the person who shared the playlist. About 3,000 customers have participated so far, and cumulative rewards have reached 15 million B-cash.

SK Broadband will give away a '12 zodiac pure gold coin set' by lottery to customers who submit 7 or more playlists on B tv and mobile B tv by Feb. 22. It will also pay up to 500,000 B-cash in additional rewards to customers with the highest monthly view counts.

The event reflects a trend in which individual preferences are becoming a key standard for choosing content. It was planned by leveraging the strength of holding more movie titles than online video services (OTT).
