Naver Cloud said on Monday it has completed a contract to supply its artificial intelligence work collaboration tool Naver Works to the Catholic Medical Center (CMC).
Through the contract, CMC will build an integrated collaboration environment connecting 22 affiliated institutions, including Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, and about 20,000 employees. It will fully switch mail and workplace messaging to cloud-based software-as-a-service, moving to drive digital work innovation.
Medical institutions tend to be cautious about adopting SaaS because of data security concerns, but CMC highly evaluated Naver Works' security system and service stability during large-scale concurrent access compared with global collaboration tools, Naver Cloud said. It also cited strengths in customisation features tailored to medical sites, such as conditional access controls that differentiate accessible services depending on the access environment.
Naver Cloud CEO Yoo-won Kim (김유원) said, "CMC's adoption as the country's largest medical network is an achievement that proves our technological capabilities and operational competence." He added, "We will advance our services to become an optimal partner in the medical and public sectors, where security and stability are the top priorities."
