NHN AD said on March 11 it has officially launched Odasiyoung, a one-on-one video-call class application for senior users.
Odasiyoung, short for "From today, again young," defines youth by experience rather than age. It is a lifestyle platform designed to help seniors develop their own identity through new daily experiences.
The launch follows an in-depth research process focused on senior users. NHN AD said it has interviewed "adults these days" through its official social media channels, including Instagram, to explore what people in their 50s and 60s see as true youth. It also held three contests, including a singing competition, drawing and a Reels challenge, and confirmed the dynamic energy of seniors who enjoy taking on challenges regardless of age.
Based on the insight gained from that process that sharing learning and experiences creates daily vitality, Odasiyoung is putting real-time one-on-one video classes at the core of its service.
It currently offers personalised classes across three categories: exercise, language and music. Users can communicate by video call with professional instructors called "Odasiyoung Friends" and start new hobbies and self-development without restrictions of time and place.
NHN AD said it aims for Odasiyoung to grow beyond a simple education application into a community platform where seniors can sustain youth in their own ways. It plans to broadly expand class categories and introduce more varied lifestyle content.
NHN AD Chief Executive Do-seop Shim (심도섭) said, "Odasiyoung is the result of communicating closely with people in their 50s and 60s and confirming their desire for learning and growth hidden in their daily lives." He added, "We plan to develop it into an unrivalled platform for 'adults these days' so that anyone can start new experiences in daily life and enjoy sustainable youth through them."
