AgentMail, an email service for AI agents, has raised $6 million in funding, TechCrunch reported on March 10.
General Catalyst led the funding round, with participation from Y Combinator, Phosphor Capital, Paul Graham and HubSpot CTO Dharmesh Shah.
AgentMail offers an API platform that provides email infrastructure for AI agents. AgentMail aims to help AI agents use software and services through email and form an identity.
AgentMail CEO Hakam Aouzla (하캄 아우즐라) said, "The key is to let AI agents connect naturally to existing internet infrastructure through email," and added, "Using an already proven email system is more effective than creating a new identity protocol."
