[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] ByteDance has released Seedance 2.0, an AI-based video generation model.
Seedance 2.0, unveiled over the past weekend, is drawing “game changer” reactions among users for features such as multi-scene processing, sound and dialogue synchronisation and multilingual support, The Information reported on Feb. 9.
Seedance 2.0 is currently available on a limited basis only to some users of ByteDance’s Jimeng image and video generation app and its Jianying editing app, and a wider release has not been decided. Even so, The Information reported that social media is abuzz with a variety of content made with Seedance 2.0, including sci-fi videos with a “Star Wars” feel, 1970s Hong Kong-style kung fu film looks, and animation and game-style videos.
Earlier, Chinese company Kuaishou also unveiled Kling 3.0, a video model.
