Wemade Play returned to an annual operating profit above 10.0 billion won for the first time in five years on the back of efficiency-focused management.

On Feb. 9, Wemade Play said it posted 2025 consolidated revenue of 125.3 billion won, operating profit of 10.7 billion won and net profit of 21.4 billion won.

Revenue rose 4 percent from a year earlier, and operating profit reached a three-digit figure on a stable return to profitability. The company said this reflected the results of efficiency-focused management pursued by Chief Executive Woo Sang-joon (우상준), who took office in March last year.

Fourth-quarter results also improved. Fourth-quarter revenue came to 32.2 billion won and operating profit was 3.1 billion won, up 1 percent and 65 percent, respectively, from a year earlier. Net loss for the quarter was 500 million won.

Results at subsidiary Playlinks also showed growth. Playlinks recorded revenue of 76.7 billion won and operating profit of 7.6 billion won last year. Revenue increased 14.5 percent from a year earlier, demonstrating results in overseas markets. It posted a net loss of 900 million won.

Wemade Play plans to release new global titles and expand new businesses this year. It is preparing a global push for the casual genre titles 'ProjectR' and 'ProjectG' and plans to target overseas business-to-business markets, including exporting slot games through Playlinks.

Woo said, "This year, with smooth development of new titles targeting global markets and the planned expansion of Playlinks' business in new ventures, will be a year in which we continue efficiency-focused management while fostering growth engines."
