Krafton posted record revenue last year, but operating profit fell due to factors including one-off costs.

On Feb. 9, Krafton said it recorded 2025 annual revenue of 3.33 trillion won and operating profit of 1.05 trillion won. Revenue rose 22.8 percent from a year earlier, topping 3 trillion won and marking the highest level since its founding, but operating profit fell 10.8 percent.

Annual revenue by business segment was 1.18 trillion won for PC, 1.74 trillion won for mobile, 42.8 billion won for console and 358.5 billion won for other.

On the PC platform, the 'PUBG: Battlegrounds' intellectual property (IP) grew 16 percent from a year earlier and drove revenue. Large collaborations with global artists and luxury brands, and the introduction of various modes, were effective. The Porsche collaboration in November last year delivered the biggest result among past supercar collaborations. 'Inzoi', released in March last year, and 'Mimesis', introduced in October, each sold more than 1 million copies and contributed to results. As a result, fourth-quarter PC revenue was 287.4 billion won, up about 24 percent from a year earlier.

In mobile, 'Battlegrounds Mobile' grew as it expanded its fandom through a new theme mode and the 'WoW (World of Wonder)' update. India service 'BGMI' also strengthened its position with locally tailored items and brand collaborations. Last year, the number of paying users for Battlegrounds Mobile and BGMI rose 5 percent and 27 percent, respectively, from a year earlier.

Fourth-quarter operating profit was 2.4 billion won. It reflected one-off costs booked at once, including a 81.6 billion won contribution to a joint worker welfare fund to secure resources to be used over the next 4 years in preparation for the move to a new headquarters in Seongsu. Fourth-quarter revenue was tallied at 919.7 billion won.

This year, Krafton will pursue franchise IP expansion and AI-based future innovation, anchored in its core business of games.

First, the Battlegrounds IP will accelerate its evolution into 'PUBG 2.0' through an Unreal Engine 5 upgrade, expansion of new modes and UGC updates. It also plans to diversify platforms through new titles including extraction shooter 'Black Budget', new top-down tactical shooter 'PUBG: Blindspot' and battle royale console game 'Valar'.

It will also continue investment to secure new IP. It plans to introduce new titles including 'Subnautica 2', 'Palworld Mobile', 'Dinkum Together' and 'NO LAW', and will also seek large merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities. For in-house production, it is operating 15 new projects centered on a lean, select organization.

It also plans to 추진 'AI for Game' using in-game AI, and over the mid to long term will review expansion potential including physical AI in the 'Game for AI' field.
