HYBE executives including chairman Bang Si-hyuk (방시혁) were selected for U.S. music outlet Billboard's '2026 Billboard Global Power Players'.
HYBE said on March 10 that Billboard announced the list on March 9 local time on its official website. The list selects leaders driving growth and innovation in the music industry across all regions outside the United States.
The HYBE executives on the list are HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk (방시혁), HYBE CEO Jason Jaesang Lee (이재상), HYBE 360 business chief Yoo Jin Oh (오유진), HYBE America chairman and CEO Isaac Lee (아이작 리), HYBE Japan CEO Hyunrok Han (한현록) and HYBE chief operating officer Taehon Kim (김태호). The company said the result is HYBE's largest number of selections to date and broadly includes executives at overseas headquarters pursuing a "multi-home, multi-genre" strategy, demonstrating the company's overwhelming performance and cultural influence worldwide.
Bang made the list for a fifth time, following 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2025. The company said it helped that global girl group "CatsEye", produced by Bang, was nominated in 2 categories at the 68th Grammy Awards, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, creating a cultural syndrome.
Jason Jaesang Lee, selected for a second time following last year, established HYBE China and HYBE India and drove the multi-home, multi-genre strategy in the world's 2 largest and fastest-growing music markets. Yoo Jin Oh, who oversees global tours and festivals for HYBE Music Group's Asia-Pacific artists, was selected for a third consecutive year. Over the past year, HYBE recorded $469.2 million in tour revenue and entered the global live performance market's big 4.
Newly selected executives this year also stood out. Isaac Lee joined the list after being recognised for strengthening HYBE's position in the Latin market. Hyunrok Han made the list for the first time after successfully leading the discovery and development of local artists in Japan. Taehon Kim was also recognised for innovating the global fan experience through the "The City" project, which provides various local events along with concerts, and through the Paris Olympics "Team Korea cheering light stick".
The 2026 Billboard Global Power Players list also included figures such as Katsumi Kuroiwa, CEO of Avex, and Victoria Oakley, CEO of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), alongside HYBE executives.
