[DigitalToday reporter Chi-gyu Hwang] Semperis, a company specialising in corporate identity protection and cyber resilience, will acquire MightyID.

According to a recent report by SiliconANGLE, MightyID has technology that prevents downtime and ensures business continuity through identity management system backups and automated recovery. Beyond basic backup functions, it also provides granular recovery that lets administrators restore specific identity elements without disrupting the environment.

MightyID supports migration when switching identity providers to reduce errors and enable a smooth transition. It also includes failover and resilience-support functions in case major identity systems are disrupted by power outages, attacks or malfunctions.

Semperis plans to use the acquisition to expand identity-centric security and crisis-management capabilities spanning hybrid Microsoft Active Directory environments. By integrating MightyID, it plans to provide comprehensive functions for hybrid identity systems, including continuous exposure management, automated recovery and crisis management.

Mickey Bresman (미키 브레스만), Semperis chief executive, said, “Effective defence comes not only from prevention but from resilience.” He added, “This acquisition will strengthen our leadership in identity-based security and crisis management to ensure organisational continuity against modern cyber attacks.”
