Webzen said on Thursday it has confirmed Jan. 21 as the release date for its new open-world action RPG Dragon Sword.
Dragon Sword is developed by South Korean studio Hound13 and published by Webzen. The game features detailed, flashy action set in a vast open world. It supports cross-platform play on both mobile and PC.
Along with the release date announcement, Webzen also unveiled a new promotional video through its YouTube channel and other outlets. The video includes the game's core story and world setting. It focuses on actual in-game combat footage and cinematic scenes.
Webzen said the full release reflects feedback from a closed beta test held in May. The company said it improved optimisation and graphic quality based on feedback from test participants. It said it enhanced story presentation and applied full voice dubbing by a lineup of well-known South Korean voice actors across the entire main story to increase immersion.
Webzen is currently running pre-registration through its official brand website, major app markets and KakaoGame pre-registration channels. It plans to provide various rewards to participants.
