[DigitalToday reporter Ho-jung Lee (이호정)] JoyCity said on Thursday that its mobile strategy game 'Biohazard Survival Unit', co-developed with Aniplex, has surpassed 5 million cumulative downloads worldwide.

Biohazard Survival Unit is a strategy game based on the world of Capcom's flagship intellectual property 'Biohazard'. It was officially released in 151 countries worldwide last November. Soon after launch, it ranked No. 1 on the popularity charts on Google Play in the United States and the App Store in Japan and recorded 2 million downloads.

The company explained that surpassing 5 million downloads reflected steady popularity in existing launch markets such as North America, Europe and Japan, combined with the impact of the formal launch in South Korea and Taiwan on Feb. 5.

JoyCity plans to continue its upward trend by maintaining stable service in the South Korean and Taiwanese markets as well, based on its global box-office performance.
