Netmarble said on Thursday it is recruiting the 25th cohort of its Marvel Challenger extracurricular programme for university students.
Marvel Challenger is a leading supporters programme in the gaming industry that any university student who is enrolled or on leave can apply for if they like Netmarble and games and have a strong understanding of new media content. Over the past 13 years, 225 people have completed the programme, and the employment rate in the gaming industry reaches 60 percent among those eligible for employment.
Applicants can submit documents through Netmarble's official recruitment website until Feb. 20. The 25th cohort, selected through document screening and interviews, will carry out various activities for about six months from March to August this year.
Specifically, participants can experience practical work in the field, including planning and producing promotional content for new media such as YouTube and Instagram, writing posts for the official Marvel Challenger blog, analysing game industry trend reports, and planning and executing Netmarble's online and offline events.
Marvel Challenger participants will receive a certificate of completion and a monthly stipend. Netmarble will also offer preferential treatment in the document screening stage of its recruitment process upon completion of the programme, and participants can gain in-depth experience of the game industry through close mentoring from practitioners.
Kim Dong-hwan (김동환), head of Netmarble's Creator Strategy Team, said it was an opportunity to directly plan and produce promotional content for Netmarble's new and popular games such as "The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin" and "Seven Knights Re:Birth". He said the programme will actively support participants so they can take part, directly and indirectly, in various practical projects and grow into professionals in the gaming industry.
