Devsisters is presenting expansion and evolution as its keywords for this year and will build growth momentum based on the Cookie Run intellectual property (IP).
On Thursday, Devsisters said it will drive evolution by expanding its fandom and broadening into genre and platform expansion culture.
The company will roll out a multi-universe IP strategy linking about 500 characters and the Cookie world. Cookie Run will serve as the central hub encompassing all titles. Its key title, Cookie Run: Kingdom, will conclude its Act 1 storyline in March and begin Act 2 within the multi-universe structure. In the process, it plans a crossover that interweaves the storyline with Cookie Run: OvenBreak to expand the user experience.
It is also pushing to secure new momentum through new titles. It will release real-time battle action game Cookie Run: OvenSmash in March. In the second half, it will introduce Project CC. It is expected to offer a play experience that anyone can enjoy in line with casual genre trends.
It also unveiled its next title, Project N. The game is an Unreal Engine-based open-world 3D action RPG. It supports PC, console and mobile multi-platform play as a work that brings together the Cookie Run universe. It targets a release in 2029, the 20th anniversary of the Cookie Run IP.
It will also pursue a cultural IP expansion strategy. The company plans to reinforce offline experiences such as exhibitions and pop-ups to establish Cookie Run as a culture. Character merchandise sales in January rose by about 10 times from a year earlier. Devsisters plans to hold an online showcase, DevNow, in March and reveal detailed plans.
Devsisters CEO Kilhyun Cho (조길현) said, "We will secure a solid foundation for growth centered on expansion and evolution," and added, "We will work to help Cookie Run leap into a global super IP."
