Nexon Games ran a healing camp for youth who care for family members, together with the Nexon Foundation and ChildFund Korea.

Nexon Games said on Thursday it held the With Young winter vacation healing camp over two days from Feb. 4 to 5. Young carers refers to children and teenagers who look after family members in need of care due to disabilities or illness. Nexon Games previously launched the With Young social contribution project with the Nexon Foundation in November and donated 100 million won to ChildFund Korea.

The camp was designed to provide time for rest and emotional recovery away from family caregiving burdens. A total of 17 people took part, including eligible youth and their siblings.

On the first day, participants visited Nexon Games' headquarters and spent the day as honorary employees. The company provided honorary employee IDs and welcome kits in line with its new-employee welcome program and offered meals at its cafeteria.

The camp also offered a chance to experience the game production process. Participants tried voice acting in a sound studio and toured a motion capture room to see how an actor's movements are implemented as a character. After the experience, they were given character videos featuring their voices as souvenirs.

Other activities included recreation led by a professional instructor and art therapy classes run by an art psychotherapist to help psychological stability. On the final day, participants visited an amusement park for a cultural experience.

Youngho Lee (이영호), head of Nexon Games' ESG TF, said the goal of the With Young project is to help young carers build stable lives. He said the company will continue to consider various support measures for healthy growth.
