Hana Bank said on Thursday it will run the 'Winter Milan Grand Festival' event to cheer South Korea's national team, Team Korea, competing in the Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo international winter sports competition.

The event will offer a special preferential-rate coupon applied to Hana Bank's flagship installment savings product, the Naemam savings plan. Customers who participate through the event page on the Hana1Q mobile app by Feb. 28 can receive a "Special Preferential Rate Coupon Wishing for a Gold Medal".

With the coupon applied, the Naemam savings plan offers an additional annual interest rate of 2.2 percent before tax. Including the preferential rate for automatic transfers of 0.5 percent a year before tax, it carries a maximum annual rate of 4.8 percent before tax. The product is a fixed-amount installment savings plan with a 1-year maturity and can be opened with monthly deposits of up to 500,000 won.

The bank will also raffle winter sports goods for customers who join the event, including Team Korea uniforms for 3 winners, winter padded gloves for 5 winners and winter beanies for 5 winners.

A Hana Bank official said, "We prepared this event to cheer the national team while also providing financial benefits to customers." The official added, "We plan to continue introducing various sports-linked events."
