Hanwha Vision said on Feb. 5 it posted 2025 consolidated revenue of 1.79 trillion won and operating profit of 162.3 billion won.

Its core security business recorded revenue of 1.34 trillion won and operating profit of 182.3 billion won. That was up 10 percent in revenue and 52 percent in operating profit from a year earlier.

Hanwha Vision merged with Hanwha Industrial Solutions in January last year and launched as an integrated company. Hanwha Industrial Solutions absorbed its subsidiary Hanwha Vision through a merger and changed the company name to "Hanwha Vision".

The results came from expansion in global markets. Revenue increased in new markets such as Europe and the Middle East, in addition to North America. In the Middle East, revenue jumped 22 percent from a year earlier as demand for video security rose. Hanwha Vision's advanced security system is set to be applied to Burj Azizi, a supertall building under construction in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Market share also rose in Europe. According to global market research firm Omdia, Hanwha Vision ranked second in the British security market by market share. Cameras equipped with AI technology are being deployed at major facilities such as airports and ports in Europe.

The share of AI cameras is rising quickly. AI cameras accounted for 49 percent of network camera revenue in the fourth quarter of last year. That was up 14 percentage points from the same period a year earlier.

Hanwha Vision is strengthening its product lineup, including P Series and X Series AI cameras based on the Wisenet9 system-on-chip and AI ruggedised PTZ cameras. It also recently obtained certification for the international standard for AI management systems, ISO/IEC 42001.

Hanwha Vision has entered the cloud market by introducing OnCloud, a cloud-based video monitoring solution, and OnCafe, an access control solution. In South Korea, it plans to target the market with offerings including Keeper, a store management solution for self-employed business owners, and a smart parking solution.

A Hanwha Vision official said demand for AI security cameras is also rising sharply as AI technology is being introduced globally across a range of industrial sites. The official said Hanwha Vision's AI cameras are receiving a strong response in new markets such as the Middle East and Europe.

The official added that AI and cloud technologies have become necessities rather than options across nearly all industrial sites. The official said the company will aim to become a top-tier video security company that cannot be replaced in global markets, based on a strong cybersecurity system and distinctive AI technology capabilities.
