Shinhan Asset Management said on Wednesday it has established an "Innovation Investment Finance Division" and expanded and reorganised its organisation into a two-division structure together with its existing Corporate Investment Division.

The reorganisation is designed to organically connect venture, mezzanine and project investments to maximise expertise across the entire process, from investment structure design and execution to post-investment management. The company said the strategy aims not only to expand investment areas but also to shift how it manages assets and strengthen execution.

Shinhan Asset Management said it has contributed to building a private sector-led venture investment ecosystem through its management of the parent funds in its "Shinhan Startup Venture Fund" series.

It said it has been strengthening its position in the secondary market through the Shinhan Venture Secondary Fund, which it has managed since 2024. It also said it continues to provide funding by corporate growth stage through blind funds such as the "The Credit" general private placement series and the "Shinhan Time Premier Mezzanine New Technology Investment Association".

The company said it has also continued to systematically strengthen its capabilities from an organisational perspective.

It said it strategically expanded its mezzanine business through workforce reinforcement in July 2023 and established an investment finance team in February 2025. It added that the new Innovation Investment Finance Division completes its dedicated system for productive finance.

A Shinhan Asset Management official said, "Based on the experience we have accumulated in managing venture parent funds and our mezzanine investment capabilities, we are continuously expanding productive finance that supplies funds to companies in a substantive way." The official added, "Through the reorganisation, we will faithfully carry out our role so that private capital can flow to companies and innovative industries."
