NHN said on Wednesday it will run an event for users who pre-register for its new subculture RPG 'Abyssdia' ahead of its official launch.

The events consist of a pre-registration verification event and a KakaoTalk emoticon giveaway. NHN plans to expand user touchpoints before the launch and convey the appeal of the game's world view and characters.

Users can take part in the pre-registration verification event on the official Naver Lounge. After completing pre-registration through the official website, Google Play, the App Store or Kakao Games, they can capture the screen and submit it as verification. Selected participants will receive prizes including limited 'Abyssdia' goods, Naver Points and Google gift cards. The event runs through Feb. 24.

NHN is also running a KakaoTalk emoticon giveaway event. It will provide the emoticons on a first-come, first-served basis to users who complete registration through Kakao Games pre-registration. The emoticons are webtoon-style action emoticons made with key 'Abyssdia' characters and can be used for 30 days after download.

Sang-ho Kim (김상호), head of NHN's game business division, said, "We have prepared additional events so that more users can enjoy benefits through pre-registration." He added, "We are also continuously updating character introductions, videos and four-panel comics through our official social media channels, so please show a lot of interest."
