Former Sandberg and Meta engineers founded AI-based corporate communication platform Slashwork and raised $3.5 million in funding, CNBC reported on Tuesday.
Headquartered in London, Slashwork bills itself as a next-generation corporate communication platform built on AI, unlike existing collaboration tools. Slashwork CEO Jackson Gabbard (잭슨 개버드) said the company redesigned existing collaboration tools for the AI era and embedded large language models (LLMs) across all content to provide powerful search.
Slashwork aims to use AI to transform internal corporate communication. Investors include Slack co-founder Cal Henderson (칼 헨더슨) and Sandberg Bernthal Venture Partners (SBVP), a venture investment firm founded by former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg (셰릴 샌드버그), as well as former Meta chief revenue officer David Fischer (데이비드 피셔) and early Slack sales leader AJ Tennant (AJ 테넌트).
Slashwork is preparing to launch its formal service later this year and plans initially to offer it to technology-focused companies.
Tennant said in an interview with CNBC that Slashwork is differentiated by using AI agents to support work, adding that it will open new possibilities for corporate communication.
