Dell Technologies said on Tuesday it has appointed Rich McLaughlin (Richard McLaughlin) as president to lead its APJC (Asia Pacific and Japan, China) region.
His predecessor, Peter Marrs (Peter Marrs), is expected to take on a new leadership role in North America.
McLaughlin will oversee business strategy and sales across the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and New Zealand, China, India, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Southeast Asia and Emerging Markets (SAEM). He will report to Pete Trizzino (Pete Trizzino), president overseeing Dell Global Sales.
McLaughlin most recently served as a senior vice president at Dell's headquarters, leading a sales organisation responsible for global enterprises. Since joining Dell in 1999, he has held a range of executive roles, including vice president for the Americas and global sales director for the financial sector. Before joining Dell, he worked as a sales leader at IBM/Tivoli, Compuware, Princeton Softech and NCR.
McLaughlin said he was honoured to work with customers and partners in the APJC region, which he described as having tremendous potential. He said he plans to support customers in using AI, simplifying processes and achieving tangible results based on Dell Technologies' solutions portfolio and culture of innovation.
