KT held a graduation ceremony for the 8th cohort of its youth digital talent training programme, Able School, and completed the course, it said on Sunday.
A total of 300 trainees took part in the programme, focusing on building practical capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based service development and consulting. From September last year, they completed about 840 hours of theory and hands-on training, along with company-linked projects. The programme also strengthened job readiness through a self-directed learning system tailored to individual employment goals. It built an immersive learning environment without time and location constraints by using the dedicated online practice platform, AbleEdu.
KT explained that talent produced through Able School since the first cohort in 2022 has moved into about 500 companies in South Korea and overseas and is driving AI-based digital transformation. KT also held a job fair for graduates on Feb. 27 at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul in Songpa-gu, Seoul.
A KT official said, "Able School has grown into a hiring platform that connects companies with prepared young talent." The official added, "We will contribute to creating youth jobs and strengthening digital competitiveness by organically linking industrial sites and education."
