AI-focused cloud specialist Klucus said on Tuesday it will support Hyundai Motor Group’s project to build cloud security visibility using the global cloud security platform Wiz.
The project was created to strengthen the group’s security management framework as its multi- and hybrid-cloud environments expand. It aims to improve the existing separate operations management framework so security visibility can be understood intuitively, and to automate the process from vulnerability detection to remediation.
Hyundai Motor Group introduced Wiz to improve visibility across its cloud environment and build an always-on public cloud security management framework. Wiz is an agentless platform that does not require installing agents. It visualises assets, security settings, vulnerabilities and attack paths on a single screen through the Wiz Security Graph.
With the opening of a South Korea region last year, domestic companies have also been able to use cloud and AI technologies safely in a strengthened security environment.
Klucus designed the scope of Wiz deployment by reflecting Hyundai Motor Group’s existing security policies and operating structure. It provides cloud security consulting and technical support services focused on initial deployment and policy design, and is helping security teams use the solution effectively in their operating environments.
A Hyundai Motor Group official said, "Wiz has better visibility than existing solutions and can easily identify risks by analysing correlations among threats." The official added, "Automated deep analysis using AI technology has enabled us to carry out security management tasks more precisely."
Kaiyang Cai (카이양 카이), vice president for Asia Pacific at Wiz, said, "For global leading companies like Hyundai Motor Group, security visibility is a strategic necessity." Cai added, "This project is an example that shows the value of Wiz in shifting to proactive security operations in a large-scale enterprise environment."
