Korea Communications Agency (KCA) is recruiting a public participation policy promotion group to publicise the policy ending use of analogue personal radios.

Korea Communications Agency (KCA) said on Monday it is recruiting a public participation policy promotion group to publicise the policy ending use of analogue personal radios.

Production, imports and sales of analogue personal radios are currently banned. KCA said promotion is needed to raise awareness of the policy so that harm does not arise from illegal distribution or purchases.

The group will publicise the policy by producing and posting SNS promotional content and monitoring illegal online sellers. Participants will receive benefits including activity allowances, certificates of completion and awards for outstanding activity. Those who want to take part can check the call for applications on the KCA website.

KCA President Sang-hoon Lee (이상훈) said, "Through the activities of a policy promotion group in which the public participates directly, we will eradicate illegal distribution of analogue personal radios and spread awareness of the digital transition policy."
