Devsisters is teaming up with the Korea Heritage Service to support the successful hosting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting.

Devsisters said on Monday it signed an agreement the previous day with the Korea Heritage Service at Dondeokjeon Hall at Deoksugung Palace. The agreement was arranged to mark the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee meeting to be held in Busan in July. The two sides agreed to expand areas of cooperation from natural heritage to national heritage overall.

Full-scale activities will begin in June. Devsisters will use the Cookie Run intellectual property to develop media art featuring 17 World Heritage sites in South Korea. It also plans to apply a "K-Heritage Run" theme inside the Cookie Run game and carry out online and offline promotions targeting tourists visiting Busan.

The expanded cooperation was based on the results of the previous collaboration. The special exhibition "Cookie Run: In Search of Lost National Heritage" at Dondeokjeon Hall at Deoksugung Palace, which opened last December, surpassed a cumulative 100,000 visitors as of Jan. 30. The two institutions decided to extend the exhibition period by about one month from the original plan, and run it through April 5.

The Daehan Guksae, restored through the exhibition, will be permanently donated to Deoksugung Palace after it ends. Devsisters has been taking the lead in spreading the value of Korean culture, including by recently holding an exhibition titled "Heritage of the Great Kingdom" in collaboration with traditional crafts artisans.

Devsisters CEO Gil-hyun Cho (조길현) said, "With a sense of mission as an IP that represents Korea, we will contribute to making the excellence of our national heritage known around the world."
