Woori Financial Group said on Monday it will hold a group-wide marketing event, Team Woori, with eight affiliates through Feb. 28 to cheer South Korea's national team (Team Korea) for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics and build momentum for the Games.

The Team Woori cheering event is a customer-participation programme set up to commemorate Woori Financial Group's official sponsorship of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee and to support the national team together with customers.

On Woori Financial's universal banking app, Woori WON Banking, customers can join simple missions such as guessing South Korea's gold medal sports, predicting the number of gold medals and cheering future national team prospects to earn medals, which serve as instant prize draw entry tickets.

Customers can enter prize draws based on the number of medals they earn. Winners will receive benefits including 3.75 grams of pure gold, 10,000 won worth of Woori Financial Group points, a 5,000 won CU convenience store coupon and a Mega Coffee Americano coupon. Woori Financial Group will also give new Woori WON Banking sign-ups an additional 10,000 won worth of Samsung Wallet Points or Naver Pay points during the event period.

In addition, Woori Financial Group's eight affiliates will run special promotions for their flagship products and services.

Woori Bank will introduce the Woori Team Korea savings product, allowing flexible monthly deposits of up to 300,000 won with a 12-month maturity, offering an annual interest rate of up to 7.5 percent depending on the national team's results.

Tongyang Life Insurance and ABL Life Insurance will each provide up to 30,000 won in Naver Pay points to customers who sign up for or seek consultations on Woori WON Haneun Bojang Insurance and Woori WON Deo Daman Cancer Insurance, respectively.

Woori Card will offer up to 585,000 won in bill discounts to customers with no card spending record in the previous six months if they use the Every Mile Skypass card. Woori Investment & Securities will give new customers 1 share of a KRX physical gold ETF when they open a stock trading account and an additional 1 share of a KOSDAQ 150 ETF when they trade at least 10,000 won in domestic shares, providing total benefits worth 37,000 won.

Woori Savings Bank will add a preferential rate of 1.5 percentage points during the event period to the Woori E-eum instalment savings_ESG product, which offers a 5 percent interest rate for customers who pledge to protect the environment, providing benefits of up to 6.5 percent a year. Woori Asset Management will also give 10,000 won in Naver Pay points to selected winners who leave comments on its official Instagram cheering the national team and the firm's flagship funds.

Kyung-beom Lee (이경범), deputy head of Woori Financial's synergy business department, said the Team Woori event enables customers to use a range of the group's products and services conveniently in one place and receive benefits. He said the group will continue working to provide differentiated comprehensive financial services to customers.
