Woowa Brothers, operator of Baedal Minjok, said on Sunday it will run a 'Shopping Day' promotion on Baemin Store, its commerce platform for restaurant owners, through Feb. 11. The event was prepared to help merchants stock up in advance on ingredients and delivery supplies in response to holiday-season price rises and delivery suspensions.
The promotion focuses on 'double benefits' that allow overlapping discounts. Baemin Store users will receive a 3 percent discount coupon with no limit on the number of uses, capped at 10,000 won, and a 'plus coupon pack' worth a total of 33,000 won by purchase amount.
Products in the food and supplies categories will be discounted by up to 87 percent. Customers who buy items from both categories will receive payback coupons worth up to 40,000 won. The payback amount increases as the number of cross-purchased items rises, and the coupons will be issued in a batch on Feb. 19.
Baemin Store will also strengthen its 'arrives tomorrow' service to supply ingredients quickly. It linked with major vendors so that orders placed between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. can be received the next day. To mark the service upgrade, it will also offer a 20 percent discount on a first brand order.
Kwon Yong-kyu (권용규), head of Woowa Brothers' Partner Growth Center, said, "I hope restaurant owners can stock up on ingredients at reasonable prices and focus on holiday sales without worry."
