LG Display held a shared growth event with about 70 suppliers. LG Display said on Feb. 1 it held the "2026 Shared Growth New Year Meeting" at its Paju site in Gyeonggi province.

The event is an annual gathering where LG Display and its suppliers reaffirm mutual cooperation for fair trade and shared growth. This year, participants discussed ways to secure competitiveness amid a low-growth environment in the display industry. About 70 representatives from key parts and equipment suppliers attended, along with Jung Cheol-dong (정철동) and other top executives.

In opening remarks, Jung said, "Looking back on the past year, we were able to achieve good results thanks to candid communication and close collaboration with our suppliers, even amid an environment of great uncertainty in the global economy." He underscored that the company maintained performance through collaboration with suppliers even as global uncertainty increased.

LG Display shared its priority tasks for shared growth with suppliers on the day. It presented strengthening cost competitiveness through technological innovation as the first agenda item. Securing supply stability and developing future technologies were also included as key discussion items, and it separately reviewed related supply chain management measures. The company also explained its strategy directions for each business segment and discussed ways to secure business competitiveness based on the display market environment and an outlook for industry trends.

At the event, LG Display presented the Best Partner Award to key parts and equipment suppliers that contributed to shared growth last year. The awards were based on an assessment of suppliers' performance and contributions. LG Display said it operates shared growth programmes based on a philosophy of mutual growth that suppliers' competitiveness is the company's competitiveness. Key programmes include financial support, technological cooperation and medical welfare. It said it is providing support to eliminate vertical relationships among first-, second- and third-tier suppliers and to build a horizontal ecosystem of mutual growth.

Jung said, "In the display market, technological competition is intensifying even as the low-growth trend continues." He added, "Based on mutual trust, we will be able to grow together into a sustainable company through constant innovation and faster execution."
