The National Federation of Saemaul Geumgo said on Saturday it supplied a total of 405.2 billion won in financing for ordinary people last year through three public policy loan products, including Haetsal Loan, loans under agreements with local governments and small business loans.
Saemaul Geumgo's policy loan handling volume has shown a steady increase in recent years.
After recording 293.9 billion won in 2022, 295.8 billion won in 2023 and 312.2 billion won in 2024, it expanded to 405.2 billion won in 2025.
The federation plans to select top-performing local Saemaul Geumgo units by policy loan category, identify and share field-based best practices, and spread them nationwide to further improve the effectiveness and accessibility of policy loans.
Kim In (김인), chairman of the National Federation of Saemaul Geumgo, said, "While pushing to strengthen soundness, we are also continuously expanding support for financially vulnerable groups such as small business owners and low-credit borrowers." He added, "We will continue to be with local communities as a provider of financial services for ordinary people and fulfill our social responsibilities."
