[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Google has released a command-line interface (CLI) for Workspace.

The CLI introduced by Google supports AI agent tools such as OpenClio in accessing key Google apps and data.

A Google Workspace CLI recently posted on the open-source project sharing platform GitHub supports simplifying the process for AI agents to connect to major Workspace services such as Gmail, Google Drive and Google Docs.

According to PCWorld, the published documents also include specific instructions for integrating OpenClio. This is interpreted as meaning that Google will actively support Workspace access for OpenClio users.

In addition to OpenClio, the Workspace CLI also supports integration with the Model Context Protocol (MCP). PCWorld reported that MCP-compatible apps such as the Claude desktop app, Visual Studio Code and the Gemini CLI can now connect more easily to Google Workspace.
