Woori Financial Group said on Thursday that its university student correspondent programme, Team Woori Supporters, run during the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, ended on a high note after topping 1 million cumulative views on social media.

Woori Financial, an official sponsor of the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, said it dispatched university student supporters to Milan when the Games opened to cheer the national team and help convey the atmosphere on the ground.

The supporters introduced a wide range of preparation processes and behind-the-scenes stories beyond broadcast footage by visiting the athletes’ village and attending official news conferences. They also took part in the Korea House “Korea Day” event to share Olympic enthusiasm with people from around the world.

The content drew strong empathy from their peers, leading to high view counts. The programme is being evaluated as a model case in which Woori Financial actively communicates with future generations through sports and successfully put into practice the group’s value of “warm finance”.

Jae-hyuk Lee (이재혁), a deputy head in Woori Financial Group’s Brand Strategy Department, said, “We supported university students so they could experience the site directly through the global stage of the Olympics.” He said, “Going forward, Woori Financial will continue to broaden points of contact with future generations through sports.”
