Nolyuniverse said on Thursday it will fully cover the costs of returning home and staying for customers of its Middle East package products.

The support applies to customers who bought package products on its platform and have been stranded in the Middle East due to the recent Iran airstrike incident. It will pay for stay-related costs such as meals incurred from the point returns were delayed, along with lodging and air tickets.

It will also fully waive cancellation fees and provide 100 percent refunds if customers scheduled to depart for the Middle East cancel their trips.

The company said the number of Nolyuniverse package customers staying in the Middle East, including Dubai, fell to about 60 as of Wednesday from about 200 on Feb. 28. The remaining users have secured seats on return flights and are set to all return home on March 8.

Nolyuniverse said it immediately activated a dedicated response system after the incident and is operating a real-time emergency contact network. It is providing customers staying locally with frequent guidance on safety rules and return procedures through individual notifications. It also held urgent talks with airlines in each country to secure alternative flights, and worked with local ground handlers and partners to arrange extended stays and return plans.

Nolyuniverse CEO Cheol-woong Lee (이철웅) said, "In a situation where customers are experiencing great anxiety due to unexpected international instability, the most important thing is responsible protective measures." He added, "Nolyuniverse will put customer safety first and fulfill its social responsibility even in a crisis."
