The Broadcasting Media and Communications Commission said on Thursday it will hold a "Bamittongwi Character Contest" to discover an official character.
The contest was planned following the commission's launch in October last year to create a symbolic character that reflects the agency's identity and feels familiar to the public. The selected character will be used on the commission's official SNS and promotional content.
Entries are accepted from Thursday through April 3, and anyone can participate either as an individual or as a team of up to 3 people. The commission will select 3 winners, including 1 grand prize (Bamittongwi chair's award) with prize money of 1,000,000 won. It will notify winners individually on April 17.
Bamittongwi Chair Kim Jong-cheol (김종철) said, "We want to create, together with the public, a character that will become the agency's new face."
