Shinhan Bank said on Thursday it will run a customer appreciation event with CU convenience stores from Feb. 1 to 13 to mark the second anniversary of the launch of its SOL Travel check card.
Under the event, customers who buy Ferrero Rocher (3-piece) chocolate at CU, pay with a SOL Travel check card and present a Pocket CU app QR code can purchase each item for 1,000 won. That is about 70 percent off the regular price.
The discount is available up to 4 times per person during the event period and applies to 1 item per payment. Some special stores are excluded from the event.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "To mark the second anniversary of the launch of the SOL Travel check card, we prepared a partnership event closely tied to daily life that offers practical benefits to repay customers for their support." The official added, "We will continue to expand a range of benefits that customers can feel not only for overseas use but also in everyday life."
